Chester Greenwood Day
November 26, 2012 Downtown Farmington honors it's most famous resident on Saturday,December 1st. It's Chester Greenwood Day with events in Downtown Farmington this Saturday from 10 to 3. Chester Greenwood was most famous for inventing earmuffs at the age of 15, but that's just the tip of the iceberg of what Chester Greenwood accomplished. He also patented a tea kettle and a steel tip rake and manufactured earmuffs in Farmington and owned a bicycle shop.
