A major Interstate 95 interchange bridge in Augusta will be shut down, starting today, for about three months. The Department of Transportation says the bridge leading from the Exit 113 ramp from the southbound lanes of I-95 to Route 3 eastbound will close starting today.

Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines! The checked flag may not be dropping on I-295, but the speeds may be increasing on I-295 between Scarborough and West Gardiner. State Rep. Justin Chenette of Saco has sponsored a bill to raise the speed limit on Interstate 295 from Scarborough to West Gardiner to 75 miles per hour.
