Jana Kramer will be joining the cast of Dancing With the Stars for the TV dancing competition’s 23rd season starting tonight (sept 12). Country star Kellie Pickler took home the Season 16 mirror ball trophy with partner Derek Hough  but big country names haven’t been as successful.  Wynonna Judd, Chuck Wicks, Sara Evans and Billy Ray Cyrus have competed on the show.

Country music is back on ABC's Dancing With the Stars. Singer Jana Kramer will join the Season 23 cast, becoming the first country contestant since Kellie Pickler won it all in 2013. Earlier this month she revealed that she had separated from husband Michael Caussin. The couple have been married 15 months and have a 7-month-old daughter named Jolie. The show starts Sept. 12.

It was one of the most star-studded events in Nashville, and it was all for a worthwhile cause. Sheryl Crow and Jana Kramer, along with rapper 50 Cent, joined forces at the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee, in partnership with Feeding America, on Tuesday (Sept. 9) to participate in the first-ever volunteer packing event, helping families in need across the state.
