Moose In Augusta Tranquilized And Moved To Woods
A young 600-pound moose was wandering in a small patch of woods near Parkwood Drive in Augusta's Ganneston Park neighborhood for a few days. The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife had received a compliant on Wednesday morning of a male moose in that Augusta neighborhood.
Maine Moose Hunt Lottery Coming Up!
The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife estimates that Maine has 76,000 moose. The annual Maine moose permit lottery on Saturday will produce a record 4,110 permits.
