The Skowhegan State Fair, the longest consecutively running fair in the entire United States of America, is set to open its doors to the public once again on Thursday, August 12th.
As we see the 4th of July behind us and begin to head into the heart of Summer here in Maine, fair season has begun!
For the kids, it is the rides. For other's, it might be playing Bingo, running into old friends and enjoying the great fair food...
The Maine Agricultural Fair Season begins this week with the Maple Meadow Fair Festival in Mapleton. It runs June 25th and 26th and it will feature beekeeping, hops growing, horseshoeing, pickling potatoes, hay baling, live music, food and more.
When I think fair season, I think fall in Maine with the leaves changing colors, a crispness in the air, believe it or not, fair season is already underway in Maine! We already have had the Houlton Fair and the Ossipee Valley Fair already happen, here's the remaining fair schedule in Maine.
This is another band I would love to see! And I've never been to the Fryeburg Fair.
Diamond Rio has incredible harmonies and they sing some of my favorite songs including 'Unbelievable' and 'That's How Your Love Makes Me Feel'-I call it the Cow Song.
And they are coming to the Fryeburg Fair on October 1st!
