Maine’s ‘Open Lighthouse Day’ September 13th

Maine’s annual Open Lighthouse Day is Saturday, September 13. On that day, 22 lighthouses around the state will offer free admission to visitors. The annual draw is 15,000 to 18,000 people as they get the opportunity to climb to the top of the lighthouses.

Robbery at Rite Aid in Manchester, Sunday, August 3

The Kennebec County Sheriff's office is investigating a robbery Sunday (August 3) at the Rite Aid, 943 Western Avenue, Manchester. The incident happened just after 12 noon. The suspected robber indicated to the pharmacist that he was armed with a gun. The robber got away with a number of prescription narcotics.
