There's good news for country music fans who've been following their favorite music on television, as two country music-themed fall shows have been tapped for additional episodes. ABC has ordered a full season of the hour-long drama 'Nashville,' and the network brass have called for three additional episodes of Reba McEntire's half-hour comedy 'Malibu Country.'
Whoever said America's country music kick didn't have staying power? While we wait for ABC to shore up its big-ticket freshman dramas 'Last Resort' and '666 Park Avenue,' the network has gone ahead with upping country drama sensation 'Nashville' to a full-season order. Meanwhile, the network has offered an additional display of faith in Tim Allen's 'Last Man Standing,' and even rookie Reba McEntire sitcom 'Malibu Country,' but how long until a final decision is made?
If you can't get enough of the country music drama on ABC's 'Nashville,' then you'll be excited to learn that the Music City mansion inhabited by Rayna James (Connie Britton's character) is up for sale. Unfortunately, it comes with a hefty price tag that only a successful country music star could afford.
Change was in the air for most of the major characters on ABC's 'Nashville' Wednesday night (Nov. 7). In a well-written episode titled 'Move It on Over,' some of the principals were deciding on new changes, while others were struggling to deal with the changes brought about by old choices.
The latest episode of the hit ABC drama 'Nashville' featured less original music than any of the others so far. There weren't any cuts from mainstream country acts either, leaving many wondering what artists were played between important scenes in Season 1, Episode 4, titled 'We Live in Two Different Worlds.'
