U.S. Navy Captain and NASA astronaut Chris Cassidy was appointed chief of the Astronauts Office in July 2015. Cassidy is a graduate of York High School in Maine. He is also a member of the U.S. Navy Seals and won two bronze stars for combat leadership in Afghanistan.
