The College Football National Championship is Monday, December 12 between Oregon and Ohio State. The Buckeye defense has the task of slowing down the Ducks high powered offense. Oregon scored 59 points on last year’s champs Florida State beating them by 40.
The National Championship is all set with Ohio State and Oregon. The match-up will be played in Texas at Arlington Stadium on January 12th. It was an exciting game day in college football today.
The first ever college football playoffs are about to begin with a four team playoff to determine the National Champion. Four teams will play in two semifinal games, with the winners advancing to the College Football Championship Game.
There were a couple of the bigger bowl games played over the weekend, the Cotton Bowl with #8 Missouri and #13 Oklahoma State, and the Orange Bowl with #7 Ohio State and #12 Clemson. Both games featured high scoring offenses and the final scores didn’t disappoint.

What a weekend in college basketball with the two remaining undefeated teams losing. Duke raked #1 and Michigan raked #2 both put one in the ‘L’ column and will probably drop slightly in the rankings. Duke’s first loss came to NC State 84-76, the Wolfpack's first win over Duke since 2004.
