This Saturday, Christmas fills the air in Downtown Augusta. The annual Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration will feature plenty of events on Saturday in downtown Augusta, including Christmas at Old Fort Western. The family will enjoy a reading of The Night Before Christmas, caroling, hot chocolate and mulled cider will be served.

Old Fort Western Thanksgiving Celebration This Sunday

Old Fort Western on Cony Street in Augusta will be hosting it's traditional Thanksgiving event this Sunday afternoon starting at 1pm. Activities include colonial cooking and food preparation demonstrations in the fort's kitchen. Visitors will learn about the military history of this area and visit soldiers who will be outdoors cooking rations.
