The Freeport Flag Ladies have been standing every Tuesday morning on the corner of Main and School streets in Freeport since 9/11 in support of our troops. Today though, they stood in support of the men and women in blue.
The story first made news a week or two ago when a woman called the Westbrook Police Department and said she saw a snake as large as a truck with a head the size of a small ball. That was followed up by a second sighting near a playground along the Presumpscot River. Now a Westbrook police officer on patrol reports seeing a 10-foot snake eating a large mammal, maybe a beaver.
The Augusta Police Department received a call about a possible bomb threat at Cony High School in Augusta. The school is currently in lock-in and lock-down. Students are being evacuated to another location.
