Norman is known as the ‘scooter dog’, he’s actually a 3-year-old French sheepdog that is training to break the Guinness Book of World Records scooter ride, unassisted. Norman is from Canton, Georgia, and if he can ride his scooter 98 feet, he breaks the record.

For the fourth year in a row the U.S. birth rate has fallen according to the latest government figures. The birth rate had been on the rise since the 1990s, and hit an all-time high in 2007 but in recent years the rate has fallen by nearly 3 percent.

The current world record for the lowest limbo was set in 2010, by an 18-year-old from Buffalo, New York.  Shemika Charles, who was born in Trinidad, set the record on the Regis and Kelly show September 23, 2010. The Limbo dance is the unofficial dance of Trinidad, so it seems fit a Trinidadian would break the record.

A Dairy farmer in Pennsylvania is saving $200,000 a year by recycling cow manure to power his farm. He owns 600 cows so the manure piles up quickly and he says it’s a fairly easy process to convert the manure to run his four generators that run the farm.

A rare sighting of a white-throated needletail bird on the Isle of Harris, one of Scotland’s Western Isles, had bird watchers coming from miles away to get a glimpse. There hadn’t been a sighting of the rare bird since 1991 so for a dedicated bird watcher to travel over 17 hours to see the bird wasn’t unusual. What was unusual was what happened to the bird.
