A new study about life on other planets suggests pollution may be the key in finding alien civilizations. This would be a new approach to finding extraterrestrial life by studying the atmospheres of planets.

Tiger Log Cabins of Great Britain are manufacturing the first ‘zombie’ proof log cabins. They are designed to withstand the bloodiest zombie attacks. It’s the ZFC-1 or Zombie Fortification Cabin and promises to be strong enough to stop the walking dead.

On this day in 1910, the first horseshoe pitching tournament was held in Bronson, Kansas. Things were a little different in those days of horseshoes, the stakes were only 2 inches high, ringers counted as five points, leaners three and close shoes were one. The stakes were 38 feet apart.

A women in California was rescued after being stuck in a chimney of a house that didn’t belong to her. It seems she had about six dates with the man that lived in the house but he broke things off, so she tried to sneak into his home using the chimney.

A giant spider, about the size of puppy, was found in the Guyana rainforest. Its called a Goliath bird-eating tarantula and is considered the largest spider in the world. It can weigh up to a half of a pound, big for a spider.

The small country of Gibraltar has sent 30 of its most unruly monkey’s to Scotland to live in a safari park there. The country has about 200 macaque monkeys and they are a tourist attraction, but the 30 that were rounded up and shipped out were considered the worst of them all.

According to a new study fewer and fewer couples are getting married these days.  Bowling Green State University’s National Center for Marriage and Family Research shows the marriage rate in the U.S. in 31 marriages per 1,000 unmarried women.

A crematorium in Richmond, Virginia caught fire one day last week. Of course they use fire at a crematorium to turn bodies into ash but in this instance workers were trying to cremate an oversize body that started the blaze.

He was born in 1915 in Davis, West Virginia, the only son of Andy and Rose Yankovic, and became known as ‘America’s Polka King’. Frankie Yankovic, who’s Father took to bootlegging and was getting close being caught moved the family to Collinwood, Ohio, that’s where Frankie polished his skills.
