One minute you’re sitting at home dreaming about being a NASCAR driver, the next, you’re talking to Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s JR Motorsports, and you’re driving next year. Reid Lanpher from Manchester, Maine got a call from JR Motorsports and was told they were adding a second team and wanted him to drive for them. Lanpher, whose 14 years old, jumped at the chance once he got his parents’ permission.
