News of a middle school student being denied school lunch at J.A. Leonard Middle School this week because a parent owed money on the account, has Mainers offering to solve the problem.
Middle School Mom Angered That Her Son Was Denied School Lunch
Elizabeth Ireland from Old Town was angry after she found out that her 11-year old son was denied a hot lunch at J.A.Leonard School earlier this week. Ireland owed $53 on her son's school lunches, and as of this past Monday until the end of the school year, students who owe money on their school lunch accounts won't be fed, that's according to RSU 34 Superintendent David Walker.
