I've known Meryia since she was a teenager. Back then, she was a good student, a good athlete and a great singer. We have sung many a song together and seen each other grow in so many ways. Now, she's a college graduate, wife, mother of two, leader of a band AND made her way to the 2nd round of auditioning on 'The Voice'! Yes, that one...Blake Shelton's 'The Voice'!

It's been a long time coming but I've finally decided to take care of myself. And I'm having mixed emotions. I know it's the right thing to do but I'm taking away my right to choose...and that makes me conflicted.

Saturday Night Live has launched the careers of many a great comedien including Adam Sandler, Will Ferrell and Dana Carvey. But I think Chris Farley was my favorite! But I can't decide WHICH is my favorite character he played. I've narrowed it down to 2!

Dear Mr. Nichols: For the past few months we have been the happy recipients of your latest song 'Sunny and 75'. And we have so appreciated the happy tune that makes us think of Summer. Ah, Summer. The time of year when the sun shines down, tank tops and shorts are abundant and the scent of coconut oil wafts through the air. Ah, Summer. How we miss you!

It happened on the way home from my band Sharon Buck & Dixon Road's gig at Moose Alley in Rangeley on Saturday night. And it wasn't funny. The police didn't think so either.

Tomorrow will be my last day before vacation and I wanted to make sure I shared these memories with you. I will be back January 2, 2014. What a year it has been! Adventures, laughter, tears, firsts and lasts...they all make up a very full and happy life that I am fortunate enough to have. Here is a look back at my life in 2013. I have ornaments hanging on my tree just like everyone else. I have the ones I bought 20 years ago that are made of glass and, every once in a while, break. But the ones I hold dearest to my heart are the ones that are handmade by the ones I love. Do you hang them too?

I wouldn't consider myself a world traveler. Yes, I have been to Alaska, Italy and Australia but there are so many more places I would LOVE to see! Chad and I are planning to honeymoon in Nashville. I have been there twice...but the only things I've seen there is the ice arena and the Randy Travis store (which I don't think is there anymore). I went to the post office in Clinton yesterday to get the stamps for sending my Christmas cards. I loved the different options they have every year for the Christmas stamps. This year they had poinsettias and gingerbread houses. But what caught my eye was on the counter next to the boxes.
