Skowhegan State Fair

Who wants a doughboy? After the harsh reality of this winter is long gone, we will have so many things to look forward to once again. And it just wouldn't be summer and fall in the State of Maine without the fair!

The decision was made in part due to the increase in COVID cases state-wide

The Skowhegan State Fair, the longest consecutively running fair in the entire United States of America, is set to open its doors to the public once again on Thursday, August 12th.

The good news is that there will still be a fair

The Skowhegan State Fair is the oldest consecutive running agricultural fair and it's coming up starting August 11th!

Fair season in Maine is well underway and the 196th Skowhegan State Fair starts on Thursday, August 7th and goes through Saturday, August 16th. There's nothing better then walking around the fair, enjoying a fried dough and just soaking it all in.

Over 23,000 votes at b985.fm decided which four bands would play live at the Skowhegan State Fair to battle it out for the Great Country Quest last night. The four bands were Buck T. Edwards, The Allison Ames Band, Wildhorse and 43 North. So, who won?

Fair season in Maine is here! Join B-98.5 for the opening day at the Skowhegan State Fair, this Thursday, August 8th. The B-98.5 Great Country Quest finals will be going on Thursday night starting at 7. Your votes at b985.fm chose the final four bands.

We are hours away from 2013, it sounds so futuristic to me. I do want to thank our B98.5 listeners for another great year. I've been working here since August of 2000 and it's amazing to look back at all the fun we've had this year.
