The first day of 'TANKS'giving is always the hardest. Glitches, feedback, burnt out lights and the cold! Looking at the weather all weekend it said sunny and highs of 44 degrees. That's pretty warm compared to a few 'TANKS'givings we've had in the past. Last year we were spoiled with great weather. This year, it looks like it's going to be a challenge! BRING IT, MOTHER NATURE!

Time to get ready for the annual B98.5 Tanksgiving food drive. It runs this week November 5 to 9 at Camp Keys in Augusta. The old tank at the top of the hill is the inspiration for the name and it’s where the Maine Army National Guard sets a tent for me live in for the week.

Join Randy McCoy for B98.5's 13th Annual "TANKS"giving Food Drive, November 5th-9th, at the TANK on top of the hill at Camp Keyes, just off Western Avenue in Augusta. Thanks to you, "TANKS"giving has become one of New England's largest food drives.

I started working at B-98.5 in August of 2000 and that November we started our annual 'Tanksgiving Food Drive' with the Maine Army National Guard. The idea was that of Randy McCoy's former morning co-host, Genny Judge. That first year, Genny lived in the tank at Camp Keyes, through cold and rain as we collected non-perishable food for Central Maine.
