Hackers Steal Credit Card Info From 40 Million Target Customers

Approximately 40 million credit and debit card accounts used by Target customers may have been impacted by a major data breach, the retailer said Thursday. Customer names along with credit and debit card numbers may have been accessed, as well as the expiration date and three-digit security code on the back of each card, the store said.

North Texas Town Offers Target Practice From a Helicopter

Could it get any cooler, target practice from a helicopter! Dan Claassen of Helicopter Sniper Adventures in North Texas has taken target practice to the extreme. For $795 a fire-flight fight is available that includes a safety class, awards ceremony and a free lunch. Claassen says the flights are about 15 minutes but it’s long enough to get off about 500 rounds.

Target Changes Name of Sandals That Means Urine in Spanish

Target stores have not been having any luck lately naming their products; first they made the mistake of naming plus size dresses ‘Manatee Grey’, and got a lot of flak about that, now they have named a line of sandals ‘Orina’. The word translates to ‘urine’ in Spanish. The shoes have been on sale since February but the labels have started to change. There is a large number of Spanish speaking customers at Target, so the will change the name.

Maine Law Prevents Big Box Stores From Opening On Thanksgiving

You see and hear the 'Black Friday' ads on television and radio. Some of the large national 'Big Box' stores like Walmart and Target are opening on Thanksgiving night. However, that won't be the case here in Maine. Maine has a so-called Blue Law on the books prohibiting retailers with more than 5,000 square feet of space from opening on Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter.
