Maine wildlife officials say that a bald eagle that had been seen around Wilson Lake in Wilton for the past several years, has been found dead from lead poisoning.
The Ice Out contest for Wilson Lake will be returning after being gone for a few years. Bruce Dyke is organizing the event for the Wilton Fish & Game Association. Dyke tells the Lewiston Sun-Journal that he suggested and volunteered to organize the event. It will cost $5 an entry, with the winner guessing the closest month, day, hour and minute for ice out on Wilson Lake. The prize is $100.
