Taylor Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do" video shows that the transition from child country star to very adult pop superstar is complete. The clip dropped in full during the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night (Aug. 27).

The four-minute-long video starts with a zombie Taylor Swift rising from the grave before flashing to scenes of the pop star in a bath of diamonds, as queen, as a back alley motorcycle outlaw and more.

The second half finds her literally killing off the old Swifts. In doing so she brings back and then dismisses previous versions of herself, from the innocent teen fans met over a decade ago, to the victim of the Kanye West stage-bombes at the VMAs to her silver gown and mirrored acoustic guitar — all fall from a mountain of bodies the new Taylor reigns over. Watch through the end to see all these old incarnations of the singer talking to themselves.

Taylor Swift's Evolution: From Virtuous to Vengeful

Swift released the first single from her upcoming Reputation album on Friday morning (Aug. 25), and the song's cleverly pointed lyrics slap hit back at the negative publicity she's endured over the past few years over her dating life and public feuds with celebrities including Kanye West, Kim Kardashian and Katy Perry -- the latter of whom hosted the VMAs on Sunday where the video premiered.

"But I got smarter, I got harder in the nick of time / Honey, I rose up from the dead / I do it all the time / I got a list of names, and yours is in red, underlined / I check it once, then I check it twice / Ooh, look what you made me do / Look what you made me do / Look what you made me do / Look what you just made me do," Swift sings in the chorus of "Look What You Made Me Do."

The superstar warned her fans of her new attitude in advance, posting a teaser clip from the "Look What You Made Me Do" video to Instagram with the warning, "Brace for impact."

Swift is set to release Reputation on Sept. 10, and she's already announced the cities for a massive tour in support of the album.
