If Thanksgiving seems early this year, it is. This is the earliest in November turkey day can be. Thanksgiving always falls on the 4th Thursday in November and this year, the 1st was a Thursday, making Thanksgiving early. This is one of the holiday’s they call a ‘moveable’ feast, it doesn’t have a specific date.

Christmas is on the 25th, Valentine’s Day the 14th, New Year’s Day is on the 1st, and the 4th of July…you get the idea. The other ‘moveable’ holiday is Easter; it falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the first day of spring.

It doesn’t matter what day Thanksgiving falls on, the meaning remains the same; Thanks for Family, Friends, Food and Football.
