The Yarmouth Clam Festival and I have something in common, we both were born in 1965! The 49th annual Yarmouth Clam Festival is this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Here's a look at what's going on.

Friday

The opening ceremonies are at 10 a.m. 'Steamer' the official mascot, Boy Scout Troop #35 and the Downeasters Barbershop Chorus will perform the national anthem.

Other highlights on Friday include the carnival opening at 10, live music throughout the day and the Clam Festival Parade at 6p.m.

Saturday

Saturday starts will a Blueberry Pancake Breakfast from 7 until 10:30
The kids fun run and the 33rd annual Pat's Pizza 5 Mile Road Race
The Maine State Clam Chucking Contest
The Firefighters' Muster
Live Bands all day and night
Fireworks at 9:15p.m.

Sunday

A flapjack and blueberry pancake breakfast starting at 7
34th annual men's and women's bike race at 9
The diaper derby at noon
The kid's fun bike race at 1
Live music
