The 7th annual Walk and Roll is happening nationally on Wednesday, May 17, and you can participate locally at the Togus VA Center from 11 Am-1 PM. The VA2K Walk and Roll is dedicated to supporting homeless Veterans while also encouraging healthy activity. The event is free and open to the general public.

While not required to participate, a donation is an excellent opportunity to support VA and its initiative to end homelessness among Veterans.

The annual Walk & Roll, of approximately 1.2 miles, encourages people to get active and to support homeless Veterans with donated food and clothing items. Last year, more than 23,700 VA employees, Veterans and community members around the country participated, donating money and goods worth more than $325,600 to help homeless Veterans.

MIKA FIT Cross Training Center has stepped up big time in the last few years. Two years ago,  they took on the challenge to raise 100 items and delivered just over 1400 items to this event! Last year, they were on a mission year to double that amount. They collected almost 4000 items, that had to be delivered on the MIKA Bus!! This year? They want to collect 5000 Items and with your help, it is definitely doable!
