The summer grilling season is here and who doesn't love a hot dog cooked outdoors on the grill? That leads to a big debate in Maine, red or brown hot dogs?'Red Snappers' are unique to Maine, the natural casings are colored red and snap when you eat them.

Brown hot dogs, are common throughout the country and really aren't much different than a 'red snapper' except for the casing.

In 2013, there are many more hot dog choices, turkey dogs, chicken dogs, meatless dogs, and I firmly believe that cooking any of them on the grill makes them taste better.

But back to the great hot dog debate, 'red' or 'brown'? Which do you prefer?
