One thing most American homes have in common is a can of WD40. Over 75% of homes have a can of the penetrating oil. Most of us use it to stop squeaks or loosen rust, but it has many ‘unusual’ uses too.

Some of the things you can use WD40 for:

Spray on your stove top, it will remove grease and polish the stove.

Put some on a rag an wipe it on silver, it will protect it the silver from tarnishing while stored.

Keeps flies off of horses and cows, make sure to keep from the eyes though.

Loosens zippers that are stuck.

Removes water stains from stainless steel sinks.

Spray an umbrella stem for easier opening.

Parts of the Statue of Liberty are sprayed with WD40 to help protect it from the elements.

There are 50 uses in all on most places you look but some claim there are nearly 2,000 uses for the product. WD40 has become so popular it even has its own fan club with more than 100,000 members.
