As we get ready to start another NBA season, the rankings are out as to who the top 10 players are going into the season. The season gets underway Wednesday, October 30th. The Boston Celtics are in a rebuilding year but their first game is against the Toronto Raptors on the 30th. On the same day, the Orlando Magic play the Indiana Pacers and The L.A. Clippers and L.A. Lakers face off.

At number 10, this year is Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma Thunder. Number 9 goes to Dwayne Wade of the Miami Heat. At number 8, James Harden, a shooting guard for the Houston Rockets. Coming in at number 7 is Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose.  Longtime pro for the San Antonio Spurs Tim Duncun is at number 6. High scoring forward for the New York Knicks, Carmelo Anthony is at 5. At number 4 is point man for the L.A. Clippers, Chris Paul. Long time all-star and member of the L.A. Lakers, Kobe Bryant is number 3. Number 2 goes to high scoring and smooth as silk Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma Thunder. The number one player for the 2013-2014 season is two time NBA champion and league MVP LeBron James also known as King James.

Some of note: Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo is listed at number 16 and 19, which is weird. Former Celtic Ray Allen who plays for the Miami Heat comes in at 50.
