The Vatican had to recall 6,200 commemorative medals that were to honor Pope Francis’s papacy but there was one very important word that was misspelled: Jesus. Surrounding the outer edge of the medals was a saying in Latin that Pope Francis said inspired him as a boy.

It starts out in Latin ‘Vidit ergo Jesvs (the v is Latin) publicanum…Translation: 'Jesus, therefore, saw the publican'. The word Jesus in Latin was spelled with an ‘L’ instead of a ‘J’ as in Lesvs. The medals were recalled before any of them were sold…but ouch, or in Latin ‘ouchum’.
