Nobody likes going to the hospital.  Especially if you are visiting someone and have children.  Sometimes situations are unavoidable and there are no other options but bringing the kids with you.  This was something Kim Michaud experienced last year when she had to watch her grandchildren while a family member was in the hospital.

Noticing that there was nothing to occupy kids, Kim decided to put the wheels in motion, with the help from the Kiwanis of Augusta, the Kiwanis International Foundation, The Kiwanis Foundation of New England, The Augusta Rotary Club and The Kennebec Valley Board of Realtors, to set up a playground at the new MaineGeneral Medical Center campus in Augusta.

Construction is underway and when it is completed there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony.  I will keep you posted!  Put check out the progress so far:
