The Children’s Discovery Museum is moving to downtown Waterville.  According to centralmaine.com the current Augusta location will be open until then.

Two men arrested for using stolen credit cards at the Waterville Walmart. WABI reports police are not sure where they live, but gave police addressed from Nevada and Florida.

Waterville will celebrate the cities firefighters this weekend.  According to centralmaine.com, the new memorial will be unveiled Sunday at 1pm their open house.

An Augusta postal works has admitted to mail theft, taking mail with checks, cash and gift cards.  According to WABI, Julie Meek pleaded guilty and faced up to five years in jail and fines.

A 2 year old was found wandering alone in Waterville. WGME reports officials discovered her mom’s boyfriend had fallen asleep and the little girl woke up from a nap and left the house.  She was not injured.

Chinese state media are reporting six deaths after two landslides triggered by a major typhoon swept through separate villages in southeastern China. At least 23 people are reported missing. Rescue crews and sniffer dogs continue to search for survivors.

Federal investigators are working to find the cause of a commuter train crash in New Jersey that killed one person and injured more than 100 others. The National Transportation Safety Board will be looking to determine how fast the train was going when it crashed at the busy Hoboken station Thursday morning.

Police in El Cajon ,California, say two men were arrested as some of the people protesting the police shooting of an unarmed black man became destructive and violent. Police say between 50 and 75 protesters were in the streets blocking traffic on Thursday night until they used pepper-spray balls to break up the crowd.

Hurricane Matthew has strengthened to a Category 2 storm as it moves through a part of the Caribbean that doesn't usually see such storms. The storm's maximum sustained winds have increased to near 100 mph. Matthew is centered about 125 miles north of Curacao and is moving west near 14 mph.
