Friday, May 24

NBA Playoffs: Eastern Conference Finals Game 2 — Indiana Pacers at Miami Heat

American Airlines Arena, Miami; 8:30 p.m. (ET) on TNT
After a thrilling Game 1 win in overtime, the Miami Heat will look to take a 2-0 series lead against the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference finals on Friday. LeBron James and Chris Bosh lead the Heat, while Paul George and Roy Hibbert fuel the Pacers.

NHL Playoffs: Game 5 — Ottawa Senators at Pittsburgh Penguins

Consol Energy Center, Pittsburgh; 7:30 p.m. (ET) on NBC Sports Network
With a commanding 3-1 lead in their best-of-seven series, the top-seeded Pittsburgh Penguins will seek to eliminate the Ottawa Senators and advance to the Eastern Conference finals. Sidney Crosby, Pascal Dupuis and Jarome Iginla have led the Pens charge. Senators coach Paul MacLean needs his offense to challenge Pittsburgh goalie Tomas Vokoun more frequently.

Saturday, May 25

NHL Playoffs: Game 5 — Detroit Red Wings at Chicago Blackhawks

United Center, Chicago; 8 p.m. (ET) on NBC
Pending the results of Game 4 on Thursday night, the top-seeded Chicago Blackhawks could face elimination at home against the Detroit Red Wings in Saturday’s Game 5 of their Western Conference series. Behind the play of Pavel Datsyuk, Detroit has taken a two-games-to-one lead. Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane will attempt to rally the Blackhawks.

NBA Playoffs: Western Conference Finals Game 3 — San Antonio Spurs at Memphis Grizzlies

FedEx Forum, Memphis, Tenn.; 9 p.m. (ET) on ESPN
The San Antonio Spurs lead their best-of-seven Western Conference semifinal series against the Memphis Grizzlies, 2-0. Point guard Tony Parker has paced the Spurs attack. Zack Randolph, Tony Allen and Mike Conley look to get the Grizzlies back into the series.

UFC 160: Cain Velasquez vs. Antonio Silva

MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas; 10 p.m. (ET) Pay-per-view
UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez faces contender Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva with the championship on the line. The fight is a highly anticipated rematch from the fighters’ 2012 meeting, won by Velasquez. Among the best bouts on the undercard are Junior dos Santos vs. Mark Hunt; James Te Huna vs. Glover Teixeira; T.J. Grant vs. Gray Maynard; and Donald Cerrone vs. K.J. Noons.

Sunday, May 26

The Indianapolis 500

Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Indianapolis; 12 p.m. (ET) on ABC
The 97th running of the Indianapolis 500 is scheduled for Sunday in Indiana, as last year’s winner Dario Franchitti and pole-sitter Ed Carpenter do battle with other drivers in the “Greatest Spectacle in Racing.” (Check out the top 10 Indy 500 finishes of all time.)

Charlotte Motor Speedway, Concord, N.C.; 6:16 p.m. (ET) on Fox
The 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup season resumes in Charlotte, with points leader Jimmie Johnson still well ahead of Carl Edwards, Matt Kenseth, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Clint Bowyer. Kasey Kahne won the 2012 edition of this Sprint Cup race.

Atlanta Braves at New York Mets

CitiField, Flushing, N.Y..; 8:05 p.m. (ET) on ESPN
The first-place Atlanta Braves (28-18) will look to extend their National League East lead against the New York Mets (17-27). The Braves will start Julio Teheran (3-1, 3.99) against a Mets lineup that has struggled to score runs. Mets starter Shaun Marcum (0-5, 6.59) faces an Atlanta lineup anchored by the dangerous Justin Upton, who already has 14 home runs this season.
