This year, Oct 26th is the date for the Second Annual Augusta Food Bank Dinner and Auction. Last year, a first time event, totaled over $11,000! Way to go. I sure hope this year that it's even more. There is going to be a pie auction, 50/50 raffle and a lot of fun helping a good organization making a difference in the capital area.
The event is Friday Oct 26th at the Calumet Club in Augusta. The dinner buffet is at 6:30 followed by the live auction and the pie auction. Have I mentioned the pie auction? The Augusta Food Bank serves Augusta and Manchester. New auction items are being added every day. It was really great to see how the Central Maine area comes out and supports organizations in need. Even if you can't make the dinner, you can remember the Augusta Food Bank and help them in other ways. Even a few extra items at the grocery store will add up and help. Find out how you can help and any special requests.  The support that has been shown for the Augusta Food Bank is one more example of that Maine spirit.
