At this weekends Quicken Loans National golf championship at Bethesda, Maryland, Tiger Woods played for the first time in three months. Woods had back surgery and had to sit out for that time and this is was his first tournament since then. He missed the cut though by 4 strokes shooting a 4 over 75 on Friday.

This is only the 10th time in his PGA career he missed the cut. He missed 16 greens and managed to save par only three times but was still encouraged by the way he played. He noted he was hitting the ball well again getting the distance he hadn’t had in a while and physically he felt good. He wasn’t expecting to play again for at least four more weeks but his recovery time was faster that he thought.
