Toby Keith is smack dab in the middle of his Hammer Down Tour but the 'Red Solo Cup' singer and beloved country star made a pit stop in Chicago to host the private grand opening of a new Toby Keith I Love This Bar and Grill outpost in the region and to get both a day and a street named after him.

At the restaurant, located in Rosemont, Ill., Governor Pat Quinn greeted the singer and proclaimed Aug. 14, 2013 as "Toby Keith Day" in the state. Wow!

Rosemont's mayor Brad Stephens also unveiled Toby Keith Way, which is where the I Love This Bar and Grill is located.

So it was a banner day for Keith! He is certainly a part of the calendar and the geography of the great state of Illinois now. And his fans can feast on grub at his restaurant.

Check out photos from the day he got a street and a day christened after him! In the photo above, he poses with his Stephens, his sign and a WUSN radio staffer.
