Today Connor Conquers Chiari

It's amazing how you've never heard of a disease, like Chiari Malformation,  and then suddenly two members of our community are battling it.  Kind of like buying a car....you've never seen one then it appears everyone has one.  As I write this, I can't believe it was 12 days ago that I underwent a 10 1/2 hour procedure to conquer my own battle with chiari.

Recovery is long, but I'm doing really good.  My energy has returned.   My pressure headaches are gone.  Only 'bad' things I'm dealing with are: numb tongue, numb right thumb, hiccups whenever I eat or drink & very painful hips (associated with EDS).

Chiari is a merciless WITCH who doesn't travel alone. She brings her friends EDS, CCI, TCS (just to name a few) along with her. She makes you hurt a type of pain your wildest dreams couldn't conjour up. Childbirth is a paper cut in comparison. I've handled chiari and her wrath with grace and dignity...but when I see Connor....I really lose my cool on this evil gang. Chiari and her possee of scumbags should reek havoc on murderers and rapists...not sweet 3 year old boys who love Mickey Mouse, Paw Patrol & cute doggies.

Today, we've been given an extra day in February. A day just as rare as chiari. Today a team of doctors will help Connor conquer chiari. It seems like a really perfect day to do this. Connor's journey is much more complicated than mine. I'm not a religious person...but please...whatever tool you use...whether it's prayer or positive energy. ..please include my Lil Chiari buddy in it...along with his mom, Erika, dad & grandparents. FEBRUARY 29th just sounds like a strong day to kick some chiari butt. WEAR PURPLE TODAY!   Share this and encourage others to send positive energy.
