Today’s R2S: Arizona DPS Officer Being Called A Hero

Arizona Department of Public Safety officer Henry Roanhorse was on his way home last Tuesday when he spotted a car stalled on railroad tracks. He approached the vehicle and discovered 56 year old Sampson Whitegoat unconscious behind the wheel. Roanhorse attempted to awaken Whitegoat to no avail when he heard a train approaching. He then began removing Whitegoat from the vehicle. As he began to drag him away, Whitegoat awoke and in his state of confusion began to fight back against Roanhorse. Even with the 300 lb Whitegoat fighting back, Officer Roanhorse was able to pull him 25 feet away to safety before the vehicle was struck by the train sending it flying 150 feet.
