Licensed Mental Health Rehabilitation Professional: Residential and Supported Housing with Adults who experience Severe and Persistent Mental Illnesses

To succeed in this role the candidate must have strong rehabilitation and social learning, clinical , writing and mentoring skills. Successful candidate must possess a minimum 3-5 years of direct clinical and supervisory experience, a Master’s or Doctoral degree in a mental health discipline i.e., Social Work, Psychology , Counseling or related field required along with validated state of Maine, LICENSURE (LICSW, LCPC, or PhD).

Job Description:
Motivational Services, Inc. (MoCo) is a leading nonprofit human services organization that “transforms lives” by building the capacity of individuals, families, organizations and communities to learn, thrive and achieve their goals. MoCo supports adults with psychiatric, developmental, behavioral, and comorbid chronic health conditions at more than 10 sites within Kennebec County communities of Augusta and Waterville. We are looking for a compassionate, caring, dynamic professional to provide clinical supervisory and direct care to clients living with severe psychiatric conditions. This is a supervisory and teaching position geared toward helping clients engage in their personal recovery, build upon their strengths and resiliency skills, and becoming a part of their community. Using a person centered, motivational enhancement and strengths based rehabilitation approach; this position focuses on engaging clients and helping them evaluate their current life circumstances compared to their hopes, dreams and plans for the future. In the role of supervisor and mentor the position works directly with each program team’s clinical supervisor to teach the practices of motivational interviewing and using strengths based understanding of each client to help all team members support clients enrolled in their programs develop successes in pursuing their recovery goals. Employment position: Full time, 40 hours per week and one on call weekend, holiday rotation every 5th weekend/holiday.

Full Time, 40 Hours Augusta and Waterville

This posting is on-going and is filled as needed. Vacancies may occur on any of the three shifts our programs require and at either location. Travel to both locations is not required.

The above position is available to work with people who are recovering from mental illness and receive either residential or supported living services in the community of their choice. This paraprofessional work includes providing support, assistance and training in areas of daily living, communication, socialization, recreation, management of behavior, educational approaches to mental rehabilitation and maintenance of health and safety.

Minimum qualifications for this position are a High School diploma or G.E.D.; at least 21 years of age; ability to establish boundaries and interact effectively with people; experience with people with mental illness and/or MHRT I certification given preference, a valid Maine driver’s license and reliable transportation are also required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Promote and sell advertising programs which may include local radio, digital products such as display, streaming, loyalty programs, e-commerce, and digital marketing services
Leverage our live event platform to sell sponsorship and sales programs to new and existing clients
Create new relationships with local and regional businesses in our area
