State Police say a man and woman from Augusta have been formally charged in connection with the death of a man inside their apartment in November.

Maine Department of Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland said Zina Fritz, 27, and her boyfriend, Michael Sean McQuade, 45, were indicted late last week by the Kennebec County Grand Jury.

According to McCausland, Fritz and McQuade lived in the apartment at 75 Washington St. where the Nov. 23 murder took place. Both were indicted on charges of murder, felony murder, and robbery and they will make their first court appearance on the charges Tuesday at 9AM, at the Augusta Judicial Center. a New York man had previously been charged in the case. Police are calling the death “a drug related homicide," McCausland said.

Fritz and McQuaid were arrested by Augusta Police on Friday on unrelated charges and are being held at the Kennebec County Jail. Both were told of their indictments today (Jan. 25), according to McCausland.

Detectives arrested 25-year-old Damik Davis of Queens NY the day of the homicide and charged him with murder. He continues to be held at the Kennebec County Jail.

The body of 31-year-old Joseph Marceau of Augusta was found in the fourth floor apartment  after police were called to the building for a disturbance.
