The Maine State Police say two men face child pornography charges following their separate arrests late last week in Gardiner and Fairfield.

 
According to Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland, on Friday , Barry Williams, 59, from 65 High Holborn St. in Gardiner was charged. On Thursday, Thomas Williams, 68, from 8 Kingman St. in Fairfield was arrested.  Both men were arrested at their homes and the two men are not related, McCausland said.
 
Thomas Williams was bailed from the Fairfield Police Station  following the arrest  and Barry Williams was taken to the Kennebec County Jail in Augusta, McCausland said.  Barry Williams works for a convenience store in Chelsea and Thomas Williams at a local homeless shelter.  Both are charged with possessing sexually explicit material of someone under the age of 12.   The arrests came after the men’s computers were examined by the State Police Computer Crime Unit .  None of the images were children from Maine.
