The Augusta planning board will be holding public hearings on Tuesday night to discuss plans of two new Dunkin' Donuts in Augusta. The new restaurants are planned for Western Avenue and Stone Street.The Stone Street location would be at a former auto garage, at the intersection of Davenport and Stone Streets. The Western Avenue location would be in the old cPort Credit Union location and the drive-thru only Dunkin' Donuts on Sewell Street would close.

Some area residents are concerned about increased traffic congestion in their neighborhood, especially with the proposed Stone Street location.

Cafua Management Co,.LLC, the Massachusetts-based company looking to open the new franchise, is proposing to join two lots, at 89 Stone Street and 1 Davenport Street.

The Planning Board meeting will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in council chambers.
