Texas is one of the biggest states in the country for their love of football whether it’s pro, college or high school and Texas has a new form of football. The Unicycle Football League has started up in San Marcos, Texas, using the term ‘flackle’ football.

It’s like flag football: pitting 5 unicycles against each other although tackling is permitted as long as there’s not too much force used. Any shove, push or hit that is too excessive will draw a 10 yard penalty. Instead of a coin toss to determine the team to have the ball first they begin with a joust (yeah, just what it sounds like). They play on a 100 yard field with five on five teams preferred but there can be four on four or eleven on eleven games, too. The 100 yard field is usually a parking lot.
