Unity Raceway will open for the season May 26 at 1 p.m.. The racetrack will begin a new era and direction this season under Jere Humphrey. Humphrey has leased Unity Raceway from Ralph and Nancy Nason. It's a two-year lease for $35,000 per year.It's a major rebuilding year at Unity Raceway. Humphrey has spent around $10,000 on improvements at the racetrack. The ticket booth, tech garage and concession stands have all been painted. A new public address system has been bought for the pit area. They have raked all the roads and cleaned up the pits and added new seats to the bleachers. There is also a new fuel tank in the pits.

Humphrey says that 52 drivers have registered for five classes of racing at Unity Raceway. The five classes are: Flyin' Fours, Monsta Minis, Strictly Streets, Late Model Sportsman and Enduros.

Unity Raceway kicks off the season this Sunday at 1 p.m. and will race on Sunday afternoon for the first three weeks of the season then they will move racing to Friday nights at 7:30.
