Waldoboro Man Charged With Animal Cruelty After Shooting Dog With BBs
Aaron Armstrong, 32, of Waldoboro, is facing charges of animal cruelty after a veterinarian found a stray black Labrador retriever with as many as 100 BB pellets embedded in the dogs skin. The stray black Labrador retriever was found two weeks ago behind a home in Waldoboro and taken to the Lincoln County Animal Shelter.
The dog, Lady, was adopted and the family took her to be spayed. That's when a vet noticed strange lumps on the skin. That's when X-rays showed dozens of BBs under the dog's face, back and legs.
The veterinarian that treated the dog said that despite what the dog had gone through, she appears to be happy and friendly.
