As reported by the Wall Street Journal Walmart pharmacies won't be part of the networks any longer where most consumers with CVS Health Corp. drug plans can pick up their medication. Apparently the two companies are odds over medication pricing that will trickle down to customers.

Both CVS and Walmart have expressed interest in expanding their footprint in the healthcare field, and many experts feel this is really the underlying issue between the network split.

According to a statement this split won’t affect Medicare beneficiaries that are a part of  CVS’s Part D drug plans.  Apparently it also won’t cross over to Sam’s Club stores which are owned by Walmart.
