If this very cold January weather has given you a case of cabin fever, the weather experts with Weather International Services, do not have good news for us in New England.

They expect colder than average temperatures for locations east of the Rockies. They do say however, there are indications that the Northeast could see a trend toward above-average temperatures beginning in March and continuing into April.

WSI Chief Meteorologist Dr. Todd Crawford explains that a weak El Nino is the main reason of the cold weather for the east, much like last winter. He adds that should mean cold outbreaks and snow in the eastern U.S.
