This past weekend was an incredible one. It also made me think a lot about who my family is. Hopefully, you won't be surprised by my answer.

A family is anyone who loves you. And supports you. And wants the best for you.

Of course I love my parents, my sisters, my brother, my nieces and nephews. You KNOW I love Anderson and I definitely love Chad, Bradley and Jayden. Those go without saying. However, my heart is pretty darn big and I can't believe how many people fit in it.

There are a couple of quotes from the movie 'Lilo & Stitch' that really stick out in my mind. Lilo explains to Stitch: 'Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind. Or forgotten.' and Stitch says: 'This is my family. I found it, all on my own. Is little, and broken, but still good. Yeah, still good.'

Those quotes ring so true. Meeting Chad's family and getting to know them over the past year has been such a blessing. His parents, brother and sister and their families are wonderful and I get such a kick out of his 2 grandmothers. We were able to visit Grammie Hood at her nursing home in Auburn yesterday and when she saw me she said "I was thinking about you today." THAT lit up my heart because I was thinking about her, too.

My family grows bigger every day and it's all because of all of you. The people who listen to B98.5 and hear about my crazy weekends, Anderson's triumphs, my band's gigs and what we we are working on and where we are playing next and the people that worry about me and my family and are always on the look out for us.

I can't hate anyone. It's not in my makeup. I may dislike some people or dislike what they do but it doesn't mean that I don't love them. Everyone has good in them. Maybe I'm just naive but that's how I feel.
