I am never one to let grass grow under my feet and today was no exception!

It all started out with not being able to get out of my driveway...twice.

Everything happens in 3's, right? I wasn't going to let a little snow stop me!

After trying for 45 minutes to leave for work this morning, I decided to give up and go back to bed. I figured Chad would help me when he got up to go to work.

That's what I get for assuming things.

He thought Anderson had no school so he dug himself out and went on his merry way. Little did he know I was still stuck! It wasn't his fault.

So in order to take Anderson to school, I shoveled, I went back and forth a billion times and finally decided to try it another way. I did an 80 point turn and was able to drive UP the driveway instead of back out. It took me a good 25 minutes to get out of the driveway. Anderson made school on time by the skin of my teeth!

After that, I had to stop at the grocery store, realizing we have no food in the house. I needed gas so I stopped at the Super 95 One Stop in Clinton where THEY PUMP THE GAS FOR YOU!!! Gotta love that! When I got back, I was shoveling away when my friend Rusty Bell from The Fun Park in Benton was kind enough to come and plow out my driveway! I was shoveling again when I got the call for a conference call at work. They gave me 15 minutes to call them back.

While on the phone for an hour or so, I was able to listen, participate and count the change that had been accumulating for the past 6 months in the giant water jug all at the same time! I had wanted to do this for EVER! I wrapped it all up as I wrapped up the phone call. On a side note, a Capri Sun box is the PERFECT way to transport change! It's heavy but just the right size! I also started laundry and made a loaf of bread and set it to rise.

I bundled up and went back out to shovel the garage doors because we have band practice for Sharon Buck & Dixon Road tonight to get ready for our gig at the Madison VFW Saturday night. Then, it's off to the bank to deposit the change and pick up Anderson from school and take him to Karate class at the Alfond Youth Center.

I haven't even started dinner yet.  Ugh.

What does Sharon do on her day off?

Sleep would be nice!
