What States Spend on Lottery Tickets
As of this writing the Mega Millions jackpot is at $970 million.

Massachusetts spends the most on lottery tickets annually at $767.
West Virginia come in second at $594.
Rhode Island came in third at $513.
MAINE is kinda in the middle spending $178 per year, per person, on lottery.
At the bottom of the spending curve:
Oklahoma spends $48 per year on lottery tickets.
Wyoming spends $46...and ...
North Dakota spends only $45 on lottery tickets.
There are six states that don't have the lottery. They are Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Mississippi, Nevada, and Utah.
