What Was Your First Car?

I got my driver's license on my first try just after my 17th birthday, that was back in 1982. I took my driver's license test in my sister's 1980, canary yellow, Chevy Chevette. The car had no power steering and I think the instructor might have felt sorry for me! I went to Massachusetts in 1985 to go to the Connecticut School of Broadcasting, that's when my parents bought me my first car.

It was a pale blue 1976 Chevrolet Chevelle. It was a large safe car. I regrettably don't have any pictures of that car. My best memory of that car was during New Year's Eve and New Year's Day that rang in 1986, I came home on break from school and a group of friends stayed overnight at a friends camp in Raymond.

I was the only who drove my car down the hill on the access road to the camp. Everyone else parked on the side of the main road and walked down the access road to the camp. Well, it snowed overnight and all of my friends had to push my car up the access road to get me up the hill!

The first car that I bought on my own was a 1988 Mercury Tracer, again, I don't have a picture of that car either.
