When Your Little Girl Says It’s Cold In Illinois
My oldest is a grad student at the University of Illinois in Urbana, IL. Apparently this is not only a Big 10 school, it’s also a cultural hub for Opera singers. Kimberly is a New England girl through and through living in the heartland now. Last week she posted on Facebook that she couldn’t believe it was 25 degrees and snowing and she left all of her wool socks in Maine. Despite the fact that she’s almost 30 and has lived on her own for some years now my maternal instincts kicked in. Upon seeing her post, I immediately logged onto amazon and went wool sock shopping. I sent a few cute pairs to her apartment and apparently they arrived yesterday. OK, Maybe I ordered more than just a few pairs.
